Loved this spot before Covid and I love it just the same now. Every time we come here we feel like family. Ordered a couple pozole and some tacos. Easy. Tables for dining available outside. New menu options during Covid.

I finally made it here! I have been wanting to try this spot for a while now and I am thankful I had the opportunity to eat here It is located inside Swans Market along with other businesses so at first its kinda confusing for your eyes to grasp everything. There was a long line to order but the line moved fast. I ordered the Crab tostadas with a Michelada, chips and guacamole as well as Pozole verde to go. Total was 43$ The crab tostadas were very good. Kinda small but still very good. I was little disappointed that the only salsa they offer is pico de gallo and or salsa de tomatillo, no other types of salsa. I personally do not like pico de Gallo so I went with the tomatillo (the tomatillo salsa is good) The pozole verde was very very good. It hit the spot!!! I can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu. Customer service was great. Food was brought to my table pretty fast. The venue it's self is a cool spot to eat at. As I stated previously there are other business located in the market so there is a lot to see. Lots of options. In door /outdoor seating

Amazing pork belly tacos. Fish tacos are alright. Their ingredients are nice, especially the amazing tortilla that holds all the delicious meats, whether it be fish, pork belly, vegetarian, shrimp, carnitas, or anything else. They also always have 2 different aqua frescas that are usually well made. Also, if you want to try something new, and have much more of an appetite, try their tortas. They're obviously overlooked, but the bread is airy and light, comes with avocados, and are super large and filling. The only downside, other than the long lines from everybody wanting a piece, is that it's expensive for what it is. Yes, it's tasty. And yes, I would always say that it's worth it, but I consciously notice how much of a dent it hurts my wallet on those Fridays. Oh well. Treat yourself.

Cosecha is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the East Bay and judging from the perrenial line to order, it seems to be the favorite of many. They make everything in house here--from the tortillas to all their sauces and sides. And from the taste of things, everything is fresh, and of high quality. I do love their tortillas and chips here. I like the thickness and flavor of the chips. They're not crumbly and don't get soggy. The hubby and I always order the Chips, Salsa and Guacamole combo. It's alway good! I wish they had Nachos. Their chips are perfect for Nachos. I've had their tacos and tostadas as well. I would say my favorite are the Pork Belly Tacos and Shrimp Tostadas. I think the fish tacos at Cholita Linda are better. The Margaritas are great too. They're a good value at $10. The Watermelon Marg is especially good and the Mezcal Paloma I had last time is worth ordering again. If you happen to get there before 6 (Monday-Thursday only), definitely take advantage of their HH. $15 for 2 tacos and a Margarita is a good price. I have yet to try their brunch. Next time we go it'll be during brunch so I can finally try their Chilaquiles. Cosecha's menu is small, but their food is really good. Definitely worth a stop in Downtown Oakland!

The salad is incredible; the dressing is tangy, a tiny bit sweet and such and excellent compliment to the heavy/greasy food. Just want to add: I went on Saturday expecting to get salad and pork belly taco. They didn't have either. Apparently the weekend menu is quite different. Still good, just different.

Came here for the first time. This place is tucked away in Swan's Market in Oakland. When we arrived, the lines were long which is always a good sign. As we waited, we saw that ingredients were being freshly prepared by staff. Once we placed our order with the cashier, we were given a number and sat on one of the wooden benches where our meal was delivered. I checked in on yelp and we got fresh chips and salsa. I ordered the two pork belly tacos with a side of rice and beans, and a guava cookie and chocolate chip cookie. My goodness, everything was so good! Pros: -fresh and delicious food -those rice and beans were so good! Cons: -n/a What a hidden gem. I wish I knew about this place sooner. Will definitely be back!

Minimum $10 purchase to use a credit card. When they say it's a minimum of a 20 minute wait time, they are not kidding. The wait to order was about 20 minutes and it took another 20 for my order to come out. Chips & Salsa: Handmade chips were crispy and pretty thick. They were also a bit greasy, but I didn't mind, they tasted good! I use a high salsa per chip ratio, and unfortunately the salsa was gone by the time I was 1/3 done with the chips. The salsa was pretty mild to me. Crimini Mushroom Quesadilla with Chicken: I thought the flavor of the corn tortillas overpowered the other tastes at first. It was overall good, I enjoyed the sauces they had on the side. Service was good. The quesadilla, nearly $14, seemed a bit overpriced for what it was, but it was a good place to try out while I was in Downtown Oakland.

On a Thursday night Cosecha was packed, but so was the entirety of Swan's Market. Cosecha had a line wrapped around the front counter but they did a good job of keeping it moving, and we still had a chance to look at the menu before we got to the front. The specials that day were the fish tacos, peanut molé, and watermelon & mint salad, which happened to be everything we planned on ordering anyway (the specials change daily). However, the menu was a little more limited than I was expecting (which disappointed me), with three appetizers, five plates, a salad, and four different quesadillas on offer. That aside, we went with the three specials ($8 for the salad, $14 for the tacos, $16 for the molé) and an horchata. I was surprised and impressed by how quickly the kitchen got the food out given how crazy busy they were, but even more so by how the plating -- which is gorgeous -- and flavors weren't at all comprised by their speed. The salad came out first which was so refreshing on a warm evening: a bed of butter lettuce covered in slices of crisp, sweet watermelon, a hearty serving of toasted pumpkin seeds, I believe some thinly sliced jicama, and a citrus vinaigrette. Next same the plates. Two fish tacos to an order with a bowl of rice and beans. For the price, there should've been at least one more taco on this plate because the hunks of fish were on the smaller side and so was the serving of rice and beans. On the flip side, every flavor on this plate worked well together. The beer battered cod was perfectly crispy, not oily, the chipotle cream was SO good, the jalapeño gave some great added heat, and the homemade corn tortillas were addicting. While the black beans have good flavor, the rice was pretty bland compared to the Mexican rice I grew up with and have experienced in many Mexican restaurants. It was so pale in color and mild in flavor I think it actually might just be white rice, which is an odd choice but I still ate it all and it didn't ruin my meal. The peanut molé was unusual and fantastic. Braised pork in a smoky, spicy peanut molé with those delicious tortillas, beans, and rice. I thought the flavors really worked together and I'd definitely order again. The horchata was good but really could've benefitted from being chilled, rather than being served room temperature over ice, and bordered on being too sweet, but was tasty overall. The cinnamon really came through, which I loved. Cosecha's prices are high for Mexican food (the total for two with tax and tip was around $53 or $54). Yes, the ingredients are top quality, yes, the food is delicious, but the portions are also much smaller than the average Mexican restaurant, and they're not the only place making tortillas from scratch, using fresh, top quality ingredients, and serving outstanding food. I'll definitely go back to Cosecha and recommend checking it out, just know it's a little on the pricey side for what you get.

The last stop for my adventure to the Bay to Breaker Expo last Friday was late lunch at Cosecha. The check-in was on May 18, 2018, 2:50 PM. Weather was partly cloudy. Cosecha has been bookmarked for quite a while. I finally made it here, thanks to my oldest sister. The hostess/cashier handed us the paper menu. The first item I noticed was the pozole verde. Do I want the cup or the bowl? Aahh...I haven't had a bowl of pozole since December 2018 at the Cadillac Bar in San Francisco. I had pozole from other eateries, which were just okay. The best I had was the homemade pozole prepared by one of my former coworkers over 10 years ago. Moving to the present, I took a chance on Cosecha's pozole verde. A bowl, please. Por favor, senorita. The pozole was beyond my expectation. Absolutely bomb-diggity delicious. Wow, I was truly amazed. Total comfort food and the portion was quite generous, especially when last Friday was not exactly a warm day in May. It warmed me up and brought back memories of that first bowl of pozole that I had over 10 years ago. It tasted so good that I even had my eyes closed to reminisce and to savor the flavor. Thank goodness, I did not take a siesta after the amount I have eaten. I had to take rest of it home. My eyes got bigger than my stomach. This "Mexican chicken soup with hominy, cilantro, green chile, avocado & queso cotija" (quoted description on the menu) was on point with two warm corn tortillas. That bowl of soup was more than enough to serve two people. $8.00 for a bowl was also very reasonable. The guava tart looked quite delicious and so did that platter of chocolate chip cookies. I asked the young lady who was assisting for two of them to take to my husband. I was going to pay her $2.00 for them. She was kind enough to place them in a bag and handed them to me without charge. Then she placed one on a plate as a complimentary dessert for me. Such kindness should not go unmentioned. Thank you/mucho gracias. Finally, the pozole verde was muy bueno; more like buenisimo. Definitely, there will be return visits to Cosecha to try other items on the menu.
